Our mac is not that old or that slow that a typing app shouldn't work with it I can render things in adobe without problems. And, other times with other kids it just freezes up completely until I give in and force quit. If you've got a slow typer that holds down the keys for a few seconds occassionally when they are thinking hard, It freezes up for a good 10 seconds-more if they keep trying to type. The second way to send a GIF is by converting a video to a GIF. Firstly, if you have an animated gif saved to your phone, you can just select it as you would any other image and send it directly.
